A 9/11 British activist hands himself in to UK’s counter terrorism police following British Prime Ministers David Cameron’s speech at the UN General Assembly last week, Press TV reports.

In response to Cameron’s remarks equating people, who question 9/11 and 7/7 attacks in the US and UK as well as the West’s policy towards the Middle East, with Takfiri preachers who radicalize extremists, Nick Kollerstrom handed himself in.

“As the evidence emerges about the backgrounds of those convicted of terrorist offences, it is clear that many of them were initially influenced by preachers who claim not to encourage violence, but whose world view can be used as a justification for it. And we know what this world view is, the peddling of lies: that 9/11 was a Jewish plot or the 7/7 London attacks were staged; the idea that Muslims are persecuted all over the world as a deliberate act of Western policy,” Cameron said while addressing the 69th session of the United Nations General Assembly on September 25.
Explaining his actions to the Press TV correspondent in London, Kollerstrom said, “David Cameron has redefined terrorism at the UN to include people, who believe that the London bombings involve government complicity, were to some degree arranged, which I certainly do believe, and I’ve published a book on the subject and also I believe the 9/11 was an inside job. I do think Islamic nations are being selectively targeted, it’s perfectly obvious, and if the police force are going by his directive what constitutes terrorism, it seems to me that they need to arrest me.”
The Press TV correspondent was present while Kollerstrom handed himself in.

“We want to report a possible terror threat, we've got a bit of evidence and wonder if we could come in and report it,” Kollerstrom said at Scotland Yard headquarters in London.

The British police refused to arrest Kollerstrom, but he said that Cameron’s definition of nonviolent extremism will lead to the arrest of many Muslims, who share his views, and described it as another example of racial profiling.

7/7 and the Mossad: What was Israel’s role?

For years I have kept clear of this subject.

My book, Terror on the Tube (3rd ed., 2011), about the London bombings gave a minimal role to Israeli agents, by way of manipulating the surveillance and security companies (ICTS, Verint Systems, etc), operating on the London Underground, that were clearly Israeli-owned.

It described Netenyahu’s apparent foreknowledge of the event, but drew no conclusions from it. However, things have now changed with a former Mossad agent more or less admitting, in a slip of the tongue, that they had done it. While discussing an explosive maybe used in the London bombings, Juval Aviv says: “It’s easy to put a truck bomb as we did … as happened in London.”
All comments below that video accepted that he had made an admission of the Mossad perpetrating the London 7/7 bombings. Watch it for yourself:
 
Mr. Aviv was the Mossad counter-terror agent described by George Jonas in his novel, Vengeance: The True Story of an Israeli Counter-Terrorist Team (1984) and the central character in the Spielberg film about this. He has a book, Staying Safe (2004), offering advice based upon his experience about how to protect yourself from threats.

Andrew MacGregor’s view

The Australian ex-policeman Andrew MacGregor had a clear intuition on these matters – but until now I’ve always refused to go along with his view. “You can’t prove it,” I would say.  (I’ve posted up articles of his, here and here.)
This is what he wrote:
I would like to quote from Efraim Halevi, a former head of Mossad in an article that was printed in the Jerusalem Post on the 7th July 2005.  This article was headed, ‘Rules of conflict for a world war:’

“The multiple, simultaneous explosions that took place yesterday on the London transportation system were the work of perpetrators who had an operational capacity of considerable scope. They have come a long way since the two attacks of the year 1998 against the American embassies in Nairobi and Dar-Es-Salaam, and the aircraft actions of September 11, 2001.”

Like the rabbit that hops out of the top hat before the magician is ready for his stunt, the truth has been exposed.  This article was written prior to the actual bombing that took place in London, and thus, Efraim Halevi had to have been one of the planners for this ‘Terrorist’ event.
The Jerusalem Post describes Efraim Halevi as: “The writer, who heads the Center for Strategic and Policy Studies at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, is a former head of the Mossad. (© 1995-2005, The Jerusalem Post 07/07/05)”

In simple words, The London bombing was a ‘planned’ terrorist attack by a group of people including Efraim Halevi, of the ‘Centre for Strategic and Policy Studies’ at the ‘Hebrew University’ in Jerusalem.
Halevi’s article went up at 4 pm onto the Jerusalem Post website which is 2 pm in London. Strangely entitled, ‘Rules of Conflict for a World War’ it is a deeply meditated piece, and it knows far too much, for example, that the explosions were simultaneous – a fact which only became evident some days later, where Scotland Yard initially averred that the explosions had been 45 minutes apart.

Wrestling with the question

For some years I wrestled with the question, does that precognition of the event imply that ‘Israel did it’? Yes, I now believe there is no avoiding the logic.

Halevi’s article surely has to have been written well before July 7th. His phrase ‘… that took place yesterday’ shows it was written with the expectation of being put into a newspaper for the next day – that could not happen if it were being written to go up onto a website at once, no way! (Some web-versions of this very influential article have removed the word ‘yesterday.’)

And who are ‘they’, who Halevi says have ‘come a long way’? ‘They’ have to be the Mossad team (as Andrew MacGregor observes) – those two 1998 operations were the ones that successfully created the new demonised enemy image of Islam:
These two attacks were blamed on Osama bin Laden, who had previously been used by both the Americans and the British to wage war against the Russians in Afghanistan.  It was from these two attacks that Americans became to know Osama bin Laden as ‘public enemy No. 1.
That newly-demonised enemy image was then used successfully for the 9/11 event, so, Halevi saw these 1998 events as a beginning. He alluded admiringly to the ‘perpetrators who had an operational capacity of considerable scope’ – as if congratulating the Mossad team responsible. But how could he know that the event showed “careful planning, intelligence gathering, and a sophisticated choice of timing as well as near-perfect execution”?

Monitoring the terror-event that morning, he would have seen the delayed trains Luton to King’s Cross causing the patsies to turn up too late at King’s Cross which nearly wrecked the whole plan – how could they take the blame if they weren’t there?  His phrase ‘near-perfect’ implies that he knew what the plan was.

Halevi had recently joined the Advisory Board of the UK company Quest, described as, ‘The professional Intelligence company’ and a “risk mitigation” organization. It specialised in ‘Technical surveillance operations, mobile, foot and static surveillance, close reconnaissance and covert and overt photography.’

Ephraim Halevi and Peter Power

Ephraim Halevi and Peter Power are two UK citizens who need to be questioned on oath over the crime of 7/7. Peter Power made some comment about his customer that day being an Israeli firm, and it may have been these clients who selected the three stations Power was using for his terror-drill – which so mysteriously synchronized with the actual events. Peter Power said on the afternoon of July 7th, ‘We planned this for a company and for obvious reasons I don’t want to reveal their name’, and then later on in this context he alluded to ‘Jewish businessmen.’
 
Those conducting this war, Halevi explained, had to be able to “carry the combat into whatever territory the perpetrators and their temporal and spiritual leaders are inhabiting” i.e. they have to be able to sneak into other countries, which the Mossad is able to do.

Netenyahu’s warning

The CIA and FBI knew in a general sort of way that something was going to happen. US politicans had been warned to stay clear of the London Underground some months earlier, just as they had been warned to stay clear of American Airlines for a week or two prior to 9/11.

As Webster Tarpley, 9/11 Synthetic Terror: Made in the USA (2011), has observed, since about November 2004, the FBI, but not any other US agencies, has been refusing to use the London Underground’, which suggests that the FBI had little or no idea when it was going to happen.

A more interesting question becomes, Did British Intelligence know when the 7/7 event was going to happen? If so, there is absolutely no sign of it.

Although he later denied it, Benjamin Netenyahu made clear that he had had prior warning, while he was in his hotel in Russell Square, before proceeding on to the TASE conference at Liverpool Street where he was due to give a keynote speech. He wanted to draw attention to himself, as an egoistic character, and that announcement of foreknowledge achieved that, but at a cost of rather letting the cat out of the bag as regards who was planning the event.


‘Within hours of the explosions, Israeli Army Radio was reporting that “Scotland Yard had intelligence warnings of the attacks a short time before they occurred.” This report, repeated by IsraelNN.com, added that “The Israeli Embassy in London was notified in advance, resulting in the foreign minister Binyamin Netenyahu remaining in his hotel room…’ (Tarpley, Synthetic Terror, p.461)

Tarpley, however, takes the mistaken view that Israel was a mere passive spectator. It was a damage limitation exercise, to account for Netenyahu’s foreknowledge – immediate Israeli news statements tried to pin ‘blame’ on Scotland Yard for telling Netenyahu in advance – which it absolutely denied – but why would it want to do that? It makes no sense. The Israelis had foreknowledge.

Terror Planning in Israel

Quoting MacGregor again (from his discussion of an article reviewing the London bombings written by Aumann):
With Halevi we have ‘the Center for Strategic and Policy Studies at the Hebrew University’.  So what else comes from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem?  We get this!
In 2005, the Nobel Prize in Economic Science was awarded to Israeli mathematician and game theory specialist Robert J. Aumann, co-founder of the Center for Rationality at Hebrew University. This site explains the situation as such: ‘Israeli strategists rely on game theory models to ensure the intended response to staged provocations and manipulated crises. The waging of war “by way of deception” is now a mathematical discipline.’ This site also explains how Israel uses this developed strategy as:  Such “probabilistic” war planning enables Tel Aviv to deploy serial provocations and well-timed crises as a force multiplier to project Israeli influence worldwide.

What we should consider here is if there is any possible link between Halevi’s “The Centre for Strategic and Policy Studies” at the Hebrew University” and Robert J. Aumann’s “Center for Rationality at Hebrew University”.  Efraim Halevi’s statement of, “There was careful planning, intelligence gathering, and a sophisticated choice of timing as well as near-perfect execution” certainly suggests there is a connection between these two bodies and the series of ‘Terrorist’ attacks from 1998 up to the 7th July 2005, and most probably after.
So what we actually have from Efraim Halevi is a statement that demonstrates the actual hierarchy of the planners of such ‘terrorist’ attacks as 911. The highest tiers of these players are the Zionists who control their various fields, such as media, military, government bureaucracies, and of course the politicians. The second tier consists of the various politicians and other ‘leaders’ who have accepted their bribes and must now dance to the Zionists tune. The third tier consists of the various bureaucratic and military chiefs who are embedded within these plots. These two Hebrew University departments, the Centre for Strategic and Policy Studies (Halevi) and the Centre for Rationality (Aumann) co-plot the terror events.

Game Theory

I believe that there should be consideration of Aumann’s theories being used in 9/11 at the Hebrew University: along with Halevi, that would have provided a good planning group for that event.  It was Halevi’s comments about the ‘planners’ coming a long way from the earlier bombings that gives us that clue, and I think that Aumann’s involvement would have been vital for those events, which is why he was given the ‘Nobel Prize’.
Let’s quote from an article in the prestigious US Foreign Policy journal by Jeff Gates clearly explaining how game theory has been developed and used in Aumann’s Centre of Rationality (where ‘the mark’ signifies the target of the attack):
With a well-modeled provocation, the anticipated reaction can even become a powerful weapon in the Israeli arsenal.
For instance, a skilled game theorist could foresee that, in response to a 9/11-type mass murder, “the mark” (the U.S.) would deploy its military to avenge that attack. With phony intelligence fixed around a preset goal, a game theory algorithm could anticipate that those forces might well be redirected to invade Iraq—not to avenge 9/11 but to pursue the expansionist goals of Greater Israel…To displace facts with credible fiction requires a period of “preparing the minds” so that the mark will believe a pre-staged storyline.
Israeli game theorists operate not from the Center for Morality or the Center for Justice but from the Center for Rationality. As modeled by Zionist war planners, game theory is devoid of all values except one: the ability to anticipate—within an acceptable range of probabilities—how “the mark” will react when provoked.
Brilliant stuff – well worth Robert Aumann’s Nobel Prize, indeed.

LONDON (AP) — Prime Minister David Cameron pledged Friday to plug gaps in Britain's armory to combat terror, describing the extremist threat posed by the Islamic State group as being more dangerous than even that of al-Qaida.

Cameron's remarks came just moments after authorities raised Britain's terror threat level to severe, the second highest level. The decision was related to developments in Iraq and Syria, but there was no information to suggest an attack was imminent.

British Prime Minister David Cameron said on Friday he planned to introduce new legislation to make it harder for Britons to travel to Syria and Iraq to fight alongside Islamist extremists.

Cameron, who said he would detail his plans in parliament on Monday to confiscate passports, was speaking as Britain raised its international terrorism threat level to "severe", its second highest level.

"I will be making a statement in the House of Commons on Monday. This will include further steps to stop people travelling, with new legislation that will make it easier to take people's passports away," Cameron told a news conference.

A woman has been found beheaded in a suburban back garden after a man 'went berserk with a machete' after first being seen attacking cats in a residential London street.

Police say the killing in Edmonton, north London, is not currently being linked to terrorism and that specialist firearms officers were called to to reports of a man wielding a knife and attacking animals just after 1pm. Witnesses say he had been 'cutting the head off a cat' as he walked up the road.

When they arrived, they found the victim collapsed in a garden. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police officers distracted the man to stop him attacking anyone else while they evacuated homes along Nightingale Road, Metropolitan Police Commander Simon Letchford said.

The 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and is in custody. He is also receiving medical treatment after sustaining injuries in the arrest.

Rickie Benson, a builder working up the road from the horror scene, said: 'I heard there was a man walking up the road cutting the head off a cat as he made his way to the house.

'I saw them taking a body out. It was in a bag and they were putting it into an ambulance at about 2.30. I heard someone was murdered in the house.'

Lauren Perkins, who lived on nearby Goodwin Road, told the Enfield Independent: 'I was walking down the road when I saw a man with a big knife walking down the street.
'Then I saw some police come down and they told me to get off the road. I just can't believe something like that would happen. It's just so shocking.' 

Commander Simon Letchford said: 'There were a number of people resident. What we do know is that this male has gone along a number of the back gardens of this premises.

'Officers who attended the scene have evacuated a number of those people from those premises to make them safe.

'During that period they distracted the man from carrying out any further attacks.'

Sky News reports that other potential victims fled in a car from the area where the attack took place. 

It is believed they escaped the scene in a Blue Ford Focus car, which reportedly made it only a few hundred yards before it was stopped.

Two 'crying and screaming' young boys were seen being lifted out a window by police from a house where the woman was allegedly beheaded.

Taxi firm manger Kharul Islam, 40, saw the officers being handed two boys aged around three and seven out of the window and then led to safety as they tried to raid the house in Nightingale Road.

They surrounded the front and back door and asked a woman in the house to pass out the weeping children.???

Cmdr Letchford said the investigation has now been handed over to the Homicide and Major Crime unit. The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) have also been informed after the man was injured during the arrest. 

The next door neighbour of the house where the attack took place, who wished not to be named, said: 'I heard lots of screaming and shouting coming from next door.
'Then a guy with a knife was in our back garden. There was a lot of blood on the knife and he was just hacking away at stuff. It's just unbelievable, I'm so shocked.'

George Stutianou, who was working on a nearby house when the attack happened, said: 'There were so many police here, there must have been about 30 cars.  ???

'I saw some police smashing the doors and the windows of three houses either side through women and children.

'We were in the road and two policemen were running as fast as they could towards us, shouting at us to run and get out of the street. We just didn't know what was going on.'???

An ambulance woman spokesman said: 'We were called at 1.30pm to an incident in Nightingale Road, Edmonton. We sent a number of resources to the scene including London's Air Ambulance, an ambulance crew and a duty officer.

'Sadly a woman was pronounced dead at the scene by the doctor from London's Air Ambulance.' 

Witness Ricardo Kwiek told Sky News: 'We've seen a lot of police coming in. They got to the door, and when they got there, the person didn't want to let them in.

'But the police wanted to get in through the back, and the person wouldn't let them in. So they broke the door down. After that there was a man that came out and they got him.

'But he was fighting with police - and they got him in the police van. Some local people that maybe seen it closer, they said they saw two children.

'But I'm not 100 per cent sure about that because that's what the locals told me. I wasn't that close to see what he looked like.

'When the police arrived we were shocked to see so much police in one second, that was very weird for us. There was around maybe 40 police cars that came in and blocked the road.???

Twitter users reacted with shock following the incident.

Fashion designer Moyowa Akitikori said on Twitter: 'Someone just beheaded near my road. I'm so not leaving my house.

'Just this afternoon is just so sad like I go running on Nightingale Road and just when I thought I lived in a safe area [sic].'

And Matthew Williamson ‏said: 'I chose the right day to be working off Nightingale Road. Woman [has] been beheaded on the next b***** road. What is wrong with this world?'

Cuckoo Hall Primary School is located just off Nightingale Road, but a spokesman declined to comment on the situation nearby when approached by MailOnline.

Palmira Silva, 82, 'beheaded' in London garden

The BBC's Home Affairs Correspondent Danny Shaw said it is unknown at this stage whether the victim and the suspect were known to each other.
An 82-year-old woman has been killed in a suspected beheading in the garden of a north London house.

Palmira Silva was found at an address in Nightingale Road, Edmonton, at about 13:00 BST, police said.

Officers found her collapsed in a back garden and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and is in custody. Detectives said there is no suggestion the killing had a terrorist motive.

The man is in hospital being treated for injuries suffered when he was arrested, police said.

'Lives on the line'
 

A Taser was used during the arrest and a firearms officer is believed to have suffered a broken wrist.

Police said they were initially called to reports of a man armed with a knife and eyewitnesses said he had attacked an animal, possibly a cat or a dog.

Speaking at the scene of the attack, Cdr Simon Letchford said police had distracted the man while they evacuated nearby houses. ???

"Officers had to do everything they could to make other people safe and evacuate houses and put their lives on the line to make sure this individual did not cause further harm," he said.

He added officers smashed windows to get people out of properties after the man had been "cornered" in a house.

Police said they had traced the victim's next of kin but were unwilling to speculate on the nature of her injuries or the type of weapon used.

Neighbour Muhammed Yusuf said police knocked on his door and told him to leave the property immediately.

He said: "They just said 'You've got to get out of the house'. Of course I was worried."

His son Ahmed, 19, said: "At first there were two police cars, then all of a sudden there were 20.

"The police said to drop everything. I said 'What's going on?' and they said there's a guy jumping over gardens."

London Ambulance Service said they sent a number of resources to the scene including London's Air Ambulance, an ambulance crew and a duty manager.

The BBC's Home Affairs Correspondent Danny Shaw said it is unknown at this stage whether the victim and the suspect were known to each other.

The case is being investigated by Scotland Yard's Homicide Command and the police watchdog, the Independent Police Complaints Commission, has also been informed of the incident.

Imam Musa arrested and held in jail for 15 hours

The harassment and attacks on Imam Abdul Alim Musa have intensified. In the latest episode, he was arrested in the middle of the night when some 12 police officers swarmed Masjid al-Islam in Oakland, California and locked him up for 15 hours. The allegation was that he was "trespassing" the property that is registered in his name. It is not a simple case of police action; there is much more going on behind the scenes.

In the early hours (just after midnight September 1) of Tuesday September 2, there was a knock on the door of Masjid al-Islam in Oakland, CA. Imam Abdul Alim Musa asked from inside who it was.

The person outside said, “the police.”

Imam Musa recognized the voice; it was Mukhtar A. Mujahid, the person accused by some people in Oakland to be a federal agent.

Not wishing to get into an argument at that time of the night, Imam Musa told him “I know who you are and this is no time for any silly talk. I will talk to you tomorrow.”

What follows is our discussion with Imam Musa after his release from 15 hours of detention by the police in County Jail. Crescent International was alerted to his arrest and subsequent release by a brother that called our office.

This is what Imam Musa said when we spoke to him:

“After my response to Mukhtar, several police officers shouted: ‘Come out with your hands in front of you.’ They were shouting simultaneously.

“I asked them from the inside [the door was still closed]: Do you have an arrest or search warrant?

“The police repeated their demand for me to come out. Their voices getting louder and angrier.

“So I told them, OK, let me turn the lights on [so you can see clearly] and I will come out.

“I turned the lights on and came out with my hands held in front of me to show I have no weapon in my hand.

“As soon as I came out the door, they told me I was under arrest and told me to turn around and hand-cuffed me. Then they took me to a police car and forced me inside.

“There must have been at least 8 to 12 police officers; there were 5 or 6 police cars with their lights flashing.

“Inside the police car, I asked them again, why I was being arrested and whether they had an arrest warrant?

“The police told me that I was ‘trespassing’ on the property and the ‘owner’ did not want me there.

“I asked them what owner are they talking about? I have the deed papers and the property is registered under my name. How can I be trespassing on my own property? I told them to let me go inside and I will bring the deed paper to show them.

“They refused. Then I told them, I have $11,000 cash that I want to retrieve. Again they refused. I told if they were going to arrest me, I needed to get my toiletries and shoes.

“They flatly refused any of my requests. Instead, they took me to the police station.

“There they slammed me to the floor and started to twist my handcuffed wrists and as well as my ankles. One police officer also jumped on my back. I was near choking and told them to get off me because I could not breathe.

“I was thrown in a cell and held for more than 15 hours before being let go. I was also handed a paper that said I was charged with ‘trespassing’. The police also told me that Mukhtar had called them to say I was not leaving the property despite the ‘owner’s’ request.

“They gave me a token to take a street train to the nearest station where the masjid is located.

“My wrists are all bruised from the tight handcuffs and twisting.

“I had no shoes or slippers and naturally no money on me. Once I reached the station near the masjid, I went to a friend’s house from where I called my son to pick me up.

“When I returned to the masjid, I discovered that all $11,000 had been stolen. The money was gone.”

Three days earlier, Imam Musa had called to inform us that his brief case in which he had all the papers relating to the property deed and other documents had been stolen from the masjid.

It is not difficult to figure out what was going on. The thief—and it was no ordinary thief but someone who knew exactly what he was doing—took the briefcase, took the deed papers and then went to the Oakland County office to change the ownership in his own name.

There have been many such robberies of money and documents in the past as well.

Imam Musa has the original deed paper that confirms the property’s registration in his name with him. He has said he will take it to the police and show it to them.

If the police wanted to know the truth, they could have allowed him to show them the paper but they were not interested.

The manner in which the masjid was attacked in the middle of the night was intended to find an excuse to shoot him if he resisted.

Imam Musa did not provide them that opportunity but what is going on in Oakland clearly shows what the police and their agents are up to.

A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after an 82-year-old woman was beheaded in broad daylight in a suburban back garden.

Palmira Silva, a widow believed to be of Italian descent, was found at an address in Edmonton, north London just after 1pm after police received reports of a man with a knife in Nightingale Road.

Other potential victims escaped in what appears to be a random attack, Sky sources say.

Police say they do not believe there is a terrorist motive but have not confirmed if Ms Silva, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was beheaded.

Sky's Crime Correspondent Martin Brunt said: "They haven't confirmed that the woman has been beheaded, refusing at this stage to discuss the injuries she's suffered.

"But we are on very good sources reporting the fact that the woman was found decapitated and police are certainly not telling us that we're wrong in doing that."

Witnesses reported seeing a man running around the area as police arrived and he was seen attacking a car.

The first report police received said a man was attacking an animal, a cat or a dog.

One local resident, who did not want to be named, described seeing a man brandishing a machete and shouting about cats.

The Metropolitan Police said the suspect was cornered in a house by officers after moving through a number of back gardens.

Metropolitan Police Commander Simon Letchford said: "Officers who attended the scene have evacuated a number of those people from those premises to make them safe.

"During that period they distracted the man from carrying out any further attacks."

An attempted attack on two people at another address in Nightingale Road is also being investigated. Police say they believe they were able to get out of the house without being injured.

One witness has told Sky News a man was "fighting" with police.

The suspect was detained by firearms officers and taser stun guns were fired.

One officer was injured during the arrest and is believed to have suffered a broken wrist.

The man was injured in the arrest and is being treated in hospital, where he is under guard.

Police will then determine whether he can be interviewed.

A weapon has been recovered but police have not revealed what it was.

Detective Chief Inspector John Sandlin, who is leading the investigation, described it as a "a highly visible attack in broad daylight".


He said: "I can understand why this may cause people concern, however we are confident that we are not looking for anyone else at this stage."

Residents are still waiting to be allowed back into their homes and the road remains cordoned off as forensic officers continue their work.

‘Islamic State is a creation of the United States’

The United States has much to learn about foreign relations, says Dr Mahathir.
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 22, 2014:

The controversial terrorist organisation, Islamic State (IS) is a creation of the United States, said former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

In his blog posting today titled “The Islamic State” he lambasted the federal republic for not learning from its past mistakes by toppling democratically elected governments through “undemocratic overthrows”.
“Suddenly, out of the blue almost there appeared in the Middle East a powerful force seemingly moved by a desire to set up an Islamic state, a Caliphate no less,

“Where did they come from? Just like the Taliban they were created by the United States of America,”
Dr Mahathir then explained that the US had always wanted to replace Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s Shiite Government with a Sunni Government.

He said with Iraq and Iran under Shiite rule, a Shiite Government in Syria would tilt the balance in the Middle East in favour of the Shiite – the most violent enemy of the US.

He claimed that when attempts were made to overthrow Bashar’s government, the Americans found themselves a window of opportunity to install a Sunni government in Syria.

“To ensure this would be the result of the civil war in Syria, America provided military aid and money to the Sunni rebels in Syria to ensure their overthrow of Bashar,

“Many of the Sunni fighters were fanatically against the Shiite. They readily accepted United States aid and then decided to cross from Syria into Iraq to overthrow the Shiite Government there,” he said.
Warning that the US would find itself an implacable enemy should IS expand its territories, Dr Mahathir said the US should ally itself with Syria to fight off the terrorist group.

Bemoaning the fact that had the US not intervened earlier, the beheading of the two American journalists would never had happened.

“They tried to promote regime change in Arab countries and only succeeded in destabilising these countries,”
“Democracy ends with anti-American extreme Islamic governments being elected.”

Adding fuel to the fire, Dr Mahathir said the American people are “hopelessly ignorant” of the world outside their country and believed whatever their government does.
“Decades of United States support for Israel and anti-Islamic policies have made anti-American Islamic parties popular.”

He cautioned that anti-Americanism would be even more violent should the Islamists win, if elections are held following demoralisation.

“America has much to learn about foreign relations,” he added.
